Because I've hashed this out with ZCulture endlessly, I'm assuming incorrectly everyone is on the same page.  Because he focuses a large deal of his argument on his simulator, I have addressed my comments in the context the simulator provides - which is a stock Z with and without the 410 gear ratio (or any other ratio you would like to put in). My argument here hinges on a mostly stock Z in a drag-racing application with a shift time equal or less than 1/3rd second.  Beyond that I absolutely agree - my previous statement is a gross generalization.
